EGNC-IBM individual scientists will start their assignment in the centre by working in join research project with IBM in its labs.
The Goal is not only to train individual scientists, but also create a cohesive scientific team that will arrive at EGNC-IBMÂ and conduct high-level collaborative research.
The training will cover:
Common Training Common Training that fosters team mentality and ability to function as a cohesive organization.
- Safety training.
- Training on various tools and software.
- Design experiments and perform hands-on work.
- Participate in day-to-day research activity in relevant field.
- Participate in construction planning of ENGC facilities.
Specific Training Train ENGC Team members in respective fields. Specific training designed to advance the researchers skills and capabilities.
- Thin Si PV-Specific Training.
- Training on various process and electrical characterization tools.
- Attend various Si PV meetings and discussions with the PV team.
- Learn PV know-how.
- Carbon-Electrode-Specific Training
- The researchers will learn a set of skills regarding manipulation and measurement of carbon-based nanomaterials that they can use at the EGNC-IBM.
- Egyptian researchers will work on individual projects/aspects regarding carbon based electrodes.
- Attend regular meetings where results and current literature will be presented and discussed.
- Modeling and Simulation-Specific Training
- Learn/understand the fundamental physical principles underlying computational material sciences research.
- Learn/master the state-of-the-art high performance computing techniques and tools so that they can do it themselves independently.
- Energy Reuse-Specific Training
